    what is the most effective proven method to flatten a tummy?
    besides drugs? I watch my diet carefully n I swim at least twice a week but my tummy shows no sigh of going away but I lost 5kg within 3 months??

    Crunches, pilates, leg lifts, etc. EXERCISE. Swimming uses a lot of muscles and is great exercise, but I find it helps to do exercises that specifically target the core region.

    There is only one way. Exercise, exercise, exercise. Walk or run at least 5 times a week for at least 30 minutes – preferably 60 minutes. It will work.

    Healthy Dieting. Exercise is very important, like jogging and situps, but without proper diet it’s useless. Make sure your not eating too much fat and eat just the right amount of carbs you need. For me a punching bag helped my abs really show.

    Maybe you should start doing exercises which focus mainly on toning up ans tightening your stomach, the most effective way to tone up your stomach is probably crunches, do about 100 per day.

    If you are looking for a flatter stomach, you must lower your total body fat percentage. Consistent ab workouts are great to strengthen the muscles of the stomach but will not completely help to make those muscles more evident.

    You will see dramatic claims on T.V. about inches lost with their abdominal apparatus and you yourself may see some results with these machines but this is because it is forcing you into a cardiovascular workout. Going from doing nothing to anything will improve your fat percentage to an extent and it is this factor that will help you make your abs visible.

    So instead of pulverizing your stomach everyday and risking potential injury from overtraining, limit your ab workouts to 3 times a week and shift the bulk of your energy towards more cardiovascular work. The extra calorie burning is the trick to help you achieve the washboard look you desire.
